Our History
1893
Founded by Katsushiro Kato.
Began selling household and commercial tableware produced in Seto.
He traveled across Japan with ceramic samples, helping distribute Seto ware nationwide.
1956
Established Kanesan Shoten as a limited partnership company.
The company building was completed, and we expanded our sales channels to wholesalers and retailers nationwide.
1980
Launched our original brand “Craftsman House.”
1990
Joined the Victory Chain, a ceramics wholesaler network centered in Tajimi, Toki, and Seto, and expanded our product lineup.
1996
Exhibited at the Tokyo Gift Show for the first time. Transactions with specialty shops expanded, and the handling of lucky ornament items increased.
2018
Launched our original tableware brand “KANESAN1893.”
2023
Converted from a limited partnership to a joint-stock company and renamed the company Kanesan Shoten Co., Ltd.
